Thus far I am truly enjoying the experience of SWTOR. In my opinion, the experience really took off when you leave the starting world and arrive at the capital planet via an adventure in space and a visit to a space station where you pick up some skills. So far, the amount of "handholding" through the early phases of the game is just right.

Vivacia has become a Jedi Guardian - wielding a single light sabre. I enjoy being the first to engage the enemy and having its attention. Hitting stuff in the back isn't my thing. Controlling the fight, engaging the enemy and standing tall and strong in front of its assault... yeah, that is my thing.

Back to the game now, while I IRL wait for my spouse to awake. He likes to sleep in. I like to get up in the morning and get things done.

Departing Tythos

Okay, so I'm promoted to Jedi and departing Tythos. I met this hot guy at the spaceport and we decided to celebrate a bit... in the bathroom. Spaceport security did not appreciate this. Apparently, people were sensing a disturbance in the spaceport. Hey, we were not that loud!

Aaaaanyway, the dialogue went like this:
Me: "We are not the fornicators you are looking for."
Spaceport security: "You are not the fornicators we are looking for."
Me: "My passport photo looks like a movie star."
Spaceport security: "Her passport photo looks like a movie star."
Me: "Move along."
Spaceport security: "Move along."

So, with that behind me, let's head to Corousant!

Dark Jedi Lightsabre

After rescuing my master, I encountered his former Padawan and upon talking to him, I came to a somewhat darker choice than those that have previously come to me - I took the seductive knowledge offered and forged a dark jedi blade. I am not sure what this means... only that it to me represented a more nuanced way of looking at the force.

I can't bear to make myself agree with the passive and emotion-killing jedi philosphy... but nor am I going to be a merciless killer ruled by her instincts.

Perhaps there is a way to balance light and dark? To keep the passion and the control, both.

That is my path.

Where it will lead, only Bioware knows.

Enter The Old Republic

Good moooorning galaxy!

A new day, a new mmorpg. This time, meet Vivacia the Jedi Knight of the Shaltin Tunnels server.

Thus far, Vivacia has reached level three by punishing some wicked flesh eaters. Not very dramatic, but hey, I get to swing a light-sabre-like-practice toy! Hoooray!

General impressions so far... kindof like scifi WoW mixed with a Mass Effect type of dialogue. Nice graphics, great views, engaging quest-storylines.... they manage to put a bit of actual meaning and moral consequenses in finishing stanard "kill x of kind y"-type of quests!

Oh well.

Let's see where this road takes us.

Enter Vivacia...!
